Music

What is a home without a Bible? 'Tis a home where daily bread for the body is provided, but the soul is never fed. -- Charles Meigs

I am not a fan of Contemporary Christian Music (CCM), generally speaking. I put up with it because most of it does glorify God and you can't find really cool Christian music on the radio. Well, except when it finds its way onto other radio stations. Those songs don't usually get played on CCM stations, however, because they aren't overtly Christian enough. So, I split my time between the best of the available CCM stations and KGSR, which is a perfectly Austin-y radio station.

(To be fair, I do like some of what I hear on the CCM station.)

What this post is really about is a band that I discovered through a Pandora station and I love them! They have beautiful songs and great music and they are interesting! The band is called Gungor and here's my favorite song, so far:

BEAUTIFUL THINGS
by Gungor

All this pain...
I wonder if I'll ever find my way.
I wonder if my life could really change, at all.
All this earth...
Could all that is lost ever be found?
Could a garden come up from this ground, at all?

You make beautiful things,
You make beautiful things out of dust.
You make beautiful things,
You make beautiful things out of us.

All around,
Hope is springin up from this old ground.
Out of chaos, life is being found in You.

You make beautiful things,
You make beautiful things out of dust.
You make beautiful things,
You make beautiful things out of us.

You make me new,
You are making me new.
You make me new,
You are making me new. (making me new.)
